The truth behind skin care chemicals
Millions of us use products for the treatment of skin every single day, not realizing exactly what we are putting on our skin. Even some natural products may contain chemicals, but most of us are not sure what to try to simply not notice.
Chemicals do not know anything
If you do not know much about skin care chemicals, we are certainly not alone! Most of the products we use every day without thinking about what is included in them. So, what we must try to be and these chemicals are harmful?
1.4 Dioxane:
This chemical is found in 50% of cosmetics and is listed as a carcinogen. If exposed to more than skin can cause irritation, can be a central nervous system depressants, and can also cause damage to the liver and kidneys. Unfortunately, most products do not list on its list of ingredients, but is usually found in shampoo, creams and even cotton balls can contain it.
FD & C colors:
This is commonly used in personal care products and they are made from coal. Incredibly, coal tar colors are known to cause cancer in animals, and a lot of people develop allergic reactions to chemicals, including the development of dermatitis. You'll find them listed as FD & C or D & C, usually followed by a color and a number.
Lanolin:
Lanolin is a known allergen, and some products have taken out their ingredients. However, some are still something different and we must be concerned about the fact that it is derived from sheep's wool so there is a possibility that may contain insecticides that can be very harmful to the body. The worrying thing is that these insecticides have the ability to travel through the skin and blood.Although this chemical is a health risk, it is perfectly safe if it is not contaminated. The only way to know if a product contains lanolin is untouched if you choose an organic product. However, this does not always stop the problem semper so be sure to look for good quality products to be safe.
Alcohol, isopropyl (DS 40):
Alcohol is found in a consignment of products for skin and can be very drying to the skin. It tends to strip the skin of its natural acid mantle, which causes us to be more vulnerable to bacteria, viruses and mold. It can also promote brown spots and aid in premature aging.
Lead:
Lead is mainly contained in hair dyes, and is a known carcinogen and hormone disruptors. The reason is so harmful, because it absorbs into the skin and can cause neurological damage and abnormal behavior. Other side effects include muscle cramps and depression.
Diazolidinyl Urea:
This is known as the main cause of contact dermatitis in America. It contains formaldehyde, a carcinogenic chemical, which is toxic if breathed in. It can cause breathing difficulties, irritation to the nose, throat and eyes, and can also cause blisters, burns and inflammation.Overall there are hundreds of chemicals we do not know much about. Granted, most only do damage if used in excess, but many people have still not part of some effects of chemicals in their products for skin care.
You never know what you're putting on the skin, but now it's time to stop and reflect. Read labels and try to discover what you are putting on the skin. After all, it is better to be safe than sorry!
